White Doberman’s Original History

There is some controversy when it comes to the history of White Doberman. Specifically, many people believe that the first Doberman with brighter color (white) was first seen in 1976. It was a female Doberman named Sheba or Padula’s Queen Sheba and was the offspring of rusted colored and black Dobermans.

However, a number of people argue that Sheba was not the first white Doberman, and this unique color of this dog breed had actually been found in the 1930s. There isn’t any evidence to prove this opinion true or false.

When people first saw Sheba, many believed that she was purely Doberman Pinscher but not the offspring of other dogs or Doberman mixes. In 1978, the owner of Sheba successfully provided proof that Sheba was a purebred Doberman.

Sheba inbred with her son, and her son then bred with other sisters to secure the white-colored genes later one. Since then, all the white Dobermans you see today are the offspring of Sheba’s family.

Appealing Appearance of White Doberman

General Appearance

While Teacup Pomeranian, Teacup Poodle, and baby Pugs are famous for their small bodies and cute looks, the Dobermans look different as they are big dogs. To be more specific, this dog breed has an elegant look with a tall and long body. Their legs and skulls are also long and thin.

Size

If you want to find a small pet like Maltipoo puppies and Poodle Mixes or an average-sized dog, then white Doberman might not be your best choice. Moreover, White Doberman and European Doberman are listed as big dogs because they can weigh up to 100 pounds.

Doberman puppies are not quite big at a small age, so many people think it will be ok to raise them in an apartment or smaller living space. However, they will gradually become huge dogs and need a lot of space to live comfortably. They won’t be a good fit if you do not have enough room for them.

Coat and Color

Some people consider that the coat of White Doberman is similar to Chocolate Lab puppies, as they all have short hair. Normally, White Doberman has a thick layer of hair lying flat on their skin. For this reason, grooming the Doberman is always much easier than dogs who have long and thick hair like long haired Dachshund.

When it comes to color, you can see that white Doberman does not look super white like other dogs as their coat is slightly darker. For this reason, many people used to call them “light-colored” Doberman when they first saw this dog breed.

The personality of White Doberman is the same as other Doberman types; they are loyal, alert, super protective, and can be fearless toward other dogs and strangers. Therefore, people have kept them as companions, working or guard dogs.

In order to properly care and raise a White Doberman, please keep in mind these two things: Spacious space and proper training. All dogs need to have a certain space to grow up healthy, and these big furry fellows are surely no exception.

Besides, as Dobermans are really big dogs, they can severely hurt a human. We do not mean that they are bad dogs because most of them can be sweet and safe to keep around children. However, proper training and socialization are needed to form and shape their behavior.

Like other dogs, White Dobermans also need love and attention from their humans. Please treat them more like a companion or a protector, not merely treat them as working dogs.
